Below is an interesting YouTube video of Dr. Os Guinness discussing the role and significance of apologetics in evangelism.
Dr. Guinness is a student of the late Francis Schaeffer. He is a former L’Abri staffer and the author of multiple books on apologetics and philosophy. He was born in China during World War II, the son of medical missionaries. He is the great-grandson of Dr. Gershom Whitfield Guinness, a medical missionary to China who founded the first hospital in Honan after escaping the Boxer Rebellion. Gershom’s sister Mary Geraldine Guinness married Frederick Howard Taylor, the son of Hudson Taylor who founded the China Inland Mission. Os Guinness is also the great-great-great-grandson of Arthur Guinness, the brewery founder.
Dr. Guinness says, “Never has apologetics been so urgent.” He believes apologists need to be persuasive communicators using imagination and the arts — not just logical debaters.
Dr. Guinness comments on these topics in the video below:
1. Why is apologetics important?
2. How can we use apologetics to change culture?
3. What is lacking in apologetics today?
4. Apologetics and the Problem of Evil
5. Apologetics and Aesthetics
Soli Deo Gloria.

Eyewitness to Jesus.
But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence. (1 Peter 3:15)
