Ken Ham’s goal in moving from Australia to America was to call the American church back to Scripture as the authoritative Word of God—beginning with Genesis 1:1.
A key part of the strategy was building a creation museum to visually depict Biblical truth and to explain evidence in nature from a Biblical worldview.
Numerous battles ensued with evolutionists who intensely opposed construction of the museum. These included rezoning and property battles and court cases. Despite some setbacks, Answers in Genesis (AIG) eventually prevailed.
The Creation Museum opened May 28, 2007 in Petersburg, KY, seven miles west of Cincinnati’s airport. The 70,000 square-foot museum is within a day’s drive of two-thirds of the U.S. population. 585,000 have toured the museum through October 2008–400,000 in the first year.

By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and by the breath of His mouth all their host.
For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.
(Psalm 33:6,9)
