Should we celebrate Darwin’s birthday? NO!!! His work has had staggering negative repercussions, including leading many astray from belief in Yahweh to perdition. Evolutionism is an all-encompassing philosophy of life which adversely impacts every area.
Evolutionism has seduced the Church. Over 12,000 clergy have signed a Clergy Letter promoting evolutionism.
Annually over 900 congregations celebrate Evolution Sunday following Darwin’s birthday.
These churches and clergy endorse evolutionism as compatible with Scripture—an egregious error.
Today thousands of “wolves in sheep’s clothing” twist the clear history of Genesis to fit Darwin’s unbiblical beliefs.
Last September the Church of England issued a posthumous apology to Darwin for rejecting evolution which read in part, “Charles Darwin: 200 years from your birth, the Church of England owes you an apology for misunderstanding you and, by getting our first reaction wrong, encouraging others to misunderstand you still.”
(As reported in Britain’s Telegraph on Sept 14, 2008.)
I disagree. The church did not misunderstand Darwin, and Christians were right (both scientifically and Biblically) to oppose his theory.
Soli Deo Gloria.
