Whereas a caterpillar chews leaves and destroys plants with strong jaws, a butterfly drinks nectar through its proboscis and pollinates flowers, promoting plant growth.
Caterpillars travel minimally on stubby legs, but butterflies fly thousands of miles, flitting agilely from place to place.
Butterflies are male or female, mate, and lay eggs. Caterpillars are sexless and do not mate.
Caterpillars see only black and white. Monarch eyes are very complex with 6,000 separate lenses. Monarchs can see flower colors and patterns that humans cannot see.
How did the monarch insect change from eating poisonous bitter leaves to drinking sweet flower nectar? From crawling to flying? From seeing only light and dark to seeing complex patterns and colors?
Why is there no sex in caterpillars, but sex in the descendant butterflies? How could sexual reproduction “evolve”? Wouldn’t the whole system have to be in place and working from the beginning for the species to reproduce and survive?
Could evolution accomplish all this, or did the Creator design and build it?
Which is the most reasonable position to hold? Does an a priori commitment to naturalism prevent the logical conclusion?
Is the old adage,
You can lead evolutionists to evidence, but you can’t make them think
truer than many want to admit?

My friend and I were just having a discussion about the sexless butterfly and went on line to check some (what we thought) were facts… turns out we had it backwards. We thought Caterpillars mated and butterfly’s were sexless. When we read this post and then the authors question for us leading us to the AWESOME BEAUTY OF THE FATHERS DESIGN FOR LIFE… we both got goosebumps and said a prayer of thanks. Everything He does is a miracle and we are grateful servants to receive His blessings. Thanks for this information. God bless and pass it on.
