2021 Christmas Quiz

(3 Minute Read. 15Dec2021)

Adoration of the Shepherds
He who holds the universe together
Colossians 1:16-17
humbled Himself to be born as a man.
(By Italian Guido Reni, 1575–1642)

The biggest annual celebration, either religious or secular, is Christmas — commemorating the birth of Jesus of Nazareth 2,000 years ago.

But His birth is recognized constantly throughout the year. Every email, every newspaper, every book references the first Christmas. For dates are measured from His birth. Time is split into two eras, BC and AD, years before and after the birth of Christ. Even nowadays with the effort to instead use CE and BCE (Common Era and Before Common Era), the dividing line is Jesus’ date of birth.

It’s time for my annual Christmas Quiz reminding us all of the One who was born to die. Below are 12 quiz questions about Christmas with most of them about the first Christmas. Most of the answers are in the Bible, but try the quiz first without using the Bible. Answers with comments will appear in next week’s blog post,
2021 Christmas Quiz Answers.
