Bible Jeopardy

(2 Minute Read. 29May2024)

One of the TV quiz shows my wife and I enjoy from time to time is Jeopardy! Occasionally, Bible is one of the categories. Jeopardy! contestants often find it difficult and frequently postpone selecting questions from the Bible category.

Jeopardy! “questions” are posed as answers and contestants must “answer” in the form of a question. For example, a Jeopardy! question might have this form:
Jeopardy! Question: This man was the first inhabitant of the Garden of Eden.
Jeopardy! Answer: Who is Adam?

In this spirit, here are 10 Bible Jeopardy questions. The first nine are ones you might see on a Jeopardy! program, and they increase in difficulty as they do in a real Jeopardy! quiz. The tenth is the most important question, but it is one that you will never see in a Jeopardy! program.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. (Genesis 1:1-2)
